< Something many people are not aware of, we ‘generally speaking’ die about 20 years earlier than the general population. I’m not sure if it is an innocent and blissful disregard or more malicious in intent, but nonetheless, it is often very demoralizing and incredibly hurtful the way people with ME/CFS are treated. So, if you are curious, read on….
This was written by a young artist with M.E./CFS and Lyme, named Elyse Kiera Hasenberg. It’s beautiful in its poignant honesty. (She kindly gave me permission to share it here). This touched my heart. I feel so strongly especially for young brave people like Elyse who are stuck down with ME/CFS. She is also an artist. I have seen her photos and poems and she is very talented. She seems like a lovely young woman who never deserved to be faced with the struggles she is faced with every day…and yet you can tell she has the spirit of a warrior: >

  • Visiting my parents and my little Lucy. Here are a couple of photos I just took:
  • Today me and Lucy went to the beach. I haven’t been feeling well due to the moving and covid booster/flu vac. so it was especially nice to go for a short walk on the beach after feeling especially shitty this past week. The waves were beautiful. The photos really don’t do them justice. Also, I was excited to see a seal swimming pretty near the shoreline, but unfortunately I didn’t quite manage to get him on camera. I don’t usually see seals at this particular beach. Usually they are all hanging out together in large groups in Chatham, not as common to see any in East Dennis.
  • I’m in the process of moving (just a few minutes away really, but its still moving). So, I went onto fb marketplace to check and see if anyone has responded to my free furniture posts and found this. I bet it will be taken down soon, so I’ll tell you as well unless the link doesn’t work. Someone posted a bowl of oatmeal for sale. I laughed so hard, especially at the ‘new condition’ part:
  • Interesting, I wouldn’t have thought of roasting Acorn or butternut squash seeds, but, why not?:
  • I stumbled on this interview with Jane Fonda. She’s very eloquent. It’s an older video (about a year old , I think). I found it interesting, I agree with some of her words of wisdom on women, friendships, relationships, etc…
