I completely forgot about this song. The neighbors are having a huge party and have live entertainment,. The band is awesome and has been playing their music (mostly great 80’s songs) all night long. I don’t mind it being loud. Its like a free concert but I can be alone too in my apartment. I hope they have more parties! Though if I had a migraine now , I’m sure I’d feel differently!
I think I’ll work on this some more. I started it quite a ways back and forgot about it. I kind of like it just as it is…but hopefully adding more detail (as I intended originally) will be a good idea. I do like the contrast though, the shells almost become an abstract pattern.

My handsome son: ‘Jack’, Mixed Media (based on a photo reference, photo taken by one of his friends, I will note the photographer once I find out which friend took the photo):
I’m planning on doing a more detailed/realistic watercolor of the same image, but I like this just as it is. A fairly quick study. I roughly drew it out yesterday and used a little watercolor, pastel pencils and colored pencil. 18×24″.

Missing my dear friend and childhood art teacher. The man who always encouraged me and treated me like family. Donn you are dearly missed. My song for you. I hope you are painting and swimming and doing all you loved to do here on Earth. I hope you are with your dear beloved wife Nancy who you missed so much for so many years. I’d love to think you are on a seashore walking with Nancy or maybe both of you are painting beautiful landscapes together. You are in my heart.
My awesome physical therapist recommended acupuncture to me to get rid of the last of my frozen shoulder. I am a believer in acupuncture now (at least for my frozen shoulder.) I’ve only been 3x and I think my shoulder is at about 90% now! Of course pt got me most of the way there, just not that last area so i could raise my arm over my head again. It hasn’t helped my latest ‘additional’ symptom of rib pain, (that seems not to be the same kind of rib pain as costochondritis…so this is new to me) but then again that wasn’t really why I went there. The acupuncturist is just kind (as was my extremely kind physical therapist) and added that treatment too. I highly recommend it to anyone to give it a try. This community acupuncture makes it more affordable, especially if you only need a couple sessions like I did.
My Latest knitting project. I love the way this wrap turned out.

#Inktober52, Week 27/Prompt: ‘Flag’

I watched this tonight. It was definitely a nice change to see something positive. A program that is helping kids.
A Drawing from a scene in .the T.V. show ‘The O.A.’ My version of this character ‘Prairie’ isn’t perfect. In fact my drawing doesn’t really resemble her all that much, but I didn’t want to fuss on this one f,or too long. I think as an image it works and it was a fun exercise until it became tedious. lol
