#Inktober Word Prompt 10/24 Dizzy:
#Inktober 10/23 Word Prompt: Ancient
#Inktober 10/22 Word Prompt: Ghost
A quote and a Cherokee story I like and I’d like to share:
It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.- Ralph Waldo Emerson
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life:
“A fight is going on inside me”, he said to the boy. It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil. He is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, self pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is good. He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you and every other person too”. The grandson then asked his grandfather, ‘ which wolf will win’?
The old Chief simply replied: ‘The one you feed”.
I’m a few days ahead on the Inktober challenge so am taking a break from them until Tuesday. Maybe I’ll post something else in between. For anyone reading this, have a great weekend!
